Luis Uz is a Minneapolis-based comedian from the small town of Montrose, Minnesota, who has quickly become one of the Twin Cities’ rising comics and, according to Racket Magazine, one of its best and one to watch in 2026. Luis has performed at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival and made a reluctant appearance on Kill Tony.

Luis blends sharp storytelling with an understated, self-deprecating style, turning grief, awkwardness, and small-town life into something worth laughing about. His calm, grounded presence makes him feel less like a performer and more like an old friend telling you something he probably should’ve kept to himself.

Luis has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with comics including Laura Peek, Sam Tallent, Tommy Pope, and Saul Trujillo. He also tours nationally with self-proclaimed legend and good friend Lil Mo Mozzarella. He’s on a mission to remind people that being called “one of the good ones” isn’t the compliment they think it is.
