Luis Uz is a comedian from Montrose but now in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who has turned grief, awkwardness, and small-town life into something worth laughing about. His comedy mixes vulnerability with sharp storytelling, offering an honest look at what it means to rebuild, reflect, and still find humor in the mess of being human.

Onstage, Luis brings a calm, grounded presence, the kind of comic who feels like an old friend by the end of the set. His jokes balance warmth and wit, pulling laughs from moments that most people would rather avoid. Whether he’s talking about loss, relationships, or the strange comfort of Midwest niceness, Luis manages to make it both funny and real.

When he’s not performing, Luis co-produces Goodones!, a monthly Minneapolis comedy show with his best friend Elizabeth Selin.
